SUBSTANCE: alloy for current taps of lead-acid cell contains, per cent by weight: antimony 0.5-1.8; arsenic 0.14-0.20; tin 0.11-0.15; copper 0.05-0.07; silver 0.005-0.007; bismuth 0.015-0.017; iron 0.003-0.005; nickel 0.0015-0.0017; sulphur 0.006-0.0068; lead being the balance. EFFECT: reduced gassing and usage of water in cell due to increased overvoltage of hydrogen and oxygen and improvement of mechanical and casting properties. 1 tbl
