FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: method is designed for investigations of liquid and gaseous substances (measurement of composition, dielectric parameters, moisture content, etc), for measurement of geometrical constants measurement cells (converters) of conductivity apparatuses, dielectric property meters, moisture meters, static probes for investigation of plasma. Pickup is so placed in fluid that distance between any pickup surface and boundary nearest to this surface is equal to two and more distances between electrodes in pickup. Resistance R1 of fluid between electrodes of pickup is measured, solid dielectric having small losses is injected into interelectrode space of pickup till it is filled completely. Resistance R2 of fluid between electrodes is measured again. Interelectrode Co, edge Ced and total C capacitances are found by formulas. EFFECT: increased accuracy of determination of capacitance of pickup. 1 dwg
