FIELD: petroleum processing. SUBSTANCE: petroleum rectification yields (130-160)-(260-315) C and (260-315)-(330-400) C fractions, the latter being subjected to hydrofining. Heavy fuel oil is either vacuum distilled yielding (300-400)-(480-520) C vacuum distillate and petroleum tar which is subjected to heat treatment, or divided into two streams one of which is subjected to heat treatment. Hydrofined fraction is mixed with vacuum distillate or heavy fuel oil and products of heat treated petroleum tar or heavy fuel oil taken in amounts 30-50, 25-65, and 5-25% of mixture mass, respectively. EFFECT: recovery of hydrocarbon fuel improved. 1 tbl
