FIELD: building materials production. SUBSTANCE: charge of raw materials together with hard fuel in the form of grains is brought to the kiln with intersected flows of material and fuel. Raw material mixture is dried, heated up, roasted and cooled. With layer- by-layer burning of hard fuel in 250 - 1400 C temperature range the material is heated at 1.2 - 7.5 degree per second rate. Clinker is sintered until residual CaOfree accounts for 3 - 12 %. Thermal/wet clinker treatment is carried out at 65 - 100 C before milling. Power consumption is 7.6 - 8.0 kWh/t. EFFECT: decreased power consumption. 3 tbl
