FIELD: construction of shaft cooler with a cross air feed for cooling of cement clinker after roasting in a rotating furnace. SUBSTANCE: the cooler has a shaft provided with side and perforated walls, inlet and outlet cavities, floors, fan. The outlet cavity is provided with air ducts. A crusher is installed in a chamber above the shaft and an air- supply pipe-line is connected to its rotor. EFFECT: modified shaft cooler, reduced power consumption for cooling and grinding of clinker. 2 dwg
