FIELD: ion-beam vacuum treatment of materials; may be used in manufacture of machine tools. SUBSTANCE: first, ion implantation is accomplished to produce either nitrides, or carbides, or borides by application of energy of 50-220 keV and dose of 2.101016-2.101017 ion/sq.cm, and then, with ions of molybdenum with energy of 20-50 keV and dose of 2.101016-2.101017 ion/sq. cm. EFFECT: higher wear resistance of cutting tools of die tooling, machine parts. 1 tbl
