FIELD: metallurgy, drawing and sizing of hot rolled lengthened pieces in particular. SUBSTANCE: between worm feeder mechanism body 9 and compaction chamber 1 there is transition chamber 11 made in the form of coaxial with worm feeder figure of rotation with cross-sections, area of which first is increasing and then is decreasing during moving away from worm feeder mechanism body. Output part of worm feeder is made protruding out of body into inner space of transition chamber, that allows sharply to decrease resistance to worm feeder rotation. Ratio of apparatus dimension is optimally regulated. As compared with apparatus-prototype the apparatus having equal power of worm feeder mechanism drive allows to increase force action of abrasive powder particles on piece surface by 3 - 4 fold and due to that to increase quality of descaling and to achieve much higher and more stable effectiveness of descaling process.
