FIELD: powder metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of pressing a main briquette of exothermic mixture by a punch in a lower die; activating a surface of the briquette by friction action with the aid of a rotating disc; loading over the main briquette a charge of the exothermic mixture, whose temperature and burning rate are no less, than those parameters of the main briquette; pressing an additional briquette activating a surface of the additional briquette by friction action; placing the punch; igniting the additional briquette; and then performing pressure curing of the main briquette. EFFECT: enlarged manufacturing possibilities of the method, increased yielding. 3 cl, 1 dwg
