FIELD: medicine; ophthalmology. SUBSTANCE: artificial crystalline lens has an optical part and a basic member with ledges. The ratio of diameters of the surfaces of application of the ledges to the diameter of the basic member ranges from 1.09 to 1.14, and the ratio of thickness of the ends of the ledges to thickness of the main end-face part of the basic member is in the range of 0.001-0.005. The method of implantation of the artificial crystalline lens in the back aqueous chamber of the eye involves fixing the lens by way of application of the ledges on the eye ligaments. EFFECT: less post-surgery complications. 4 dwg
