FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: block of the metal carbide is obtained by melting in the electric furnace and by cooling the melt in the crystallizer. The block is subjected to fine crushing. Then it is mixed with the metal oxide in a mixer and the obtained mixture is annealed in the vacuum-thermal furnace at 1200-2000 C for 0.5-24 hours. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency.
