FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: melting is conducted in three stages: in the first stage - at furnace charging with an excess of carbon reducing agent above stoichiometry by 10.2 to 15.0%, in the second stage - at a reduction of the excess down to 2.6 - 3.5%, in the third stage - at a feed of utilizable waste of chromium carbide (5 to 10% of the mass of liquid semiproduct) with its tapping into ingot slab moulds lined by carbon blocks at simultaneous feed of carbon reducing agent (0.1 to 2.0% of the mass of liquid semiproduct) to the jet surfaces; the duration of the first, second and third stages makes up 0.7-0.8, 0.1-0.2 and 0.05-0.15 of the total time of semiproduct melting. EFFECT: facilitated procedure. 4 tbl
