FIELD: fire-fighting equipment, particularly for spraying liquid in controllable space during fire extinguishment.
SUBSTANCE: sprinkler comprises body with bails. One bail has orifice and outside bracket. Sprinkler also comprises deflector, shutoff member for closing body orifice, thrust means made as glass tube inserted between upper and lower supports, breaking means to break-down glass tube and heat-sensitive member. Breaking means is made as elastic twisted braid secured to outside bracket by one end thereof and to additional outside bracket by another end. Additional outside bracket is provided on the deflector. The breaking means also has rod with groove. One end of the rod is connected to the braid so that rod may rotate about longitudinal axis thereof. Heat-sensitive member is located in the groove and orifice of the bail. Distance between longitudinal braid axis and bail with orifice is greater than one-half of rod length.
EFFECT: simplified structure along with provision of necessary response speed.
