SUBSTANCE: proposed non-rotating unit has mast made in form of round pipe with fairing secured to its rear part on section which is beyond pressure hull when mast is lowered. Maximum thickness of pipe with fairing in cross section is equal to 1.15 of pipe diameter; it is located at distance of 0.27 of pipe diameter sternwards from its longitudinal axis. Aft shear of fairing perpendicular to axis of symmetry of proposed unit is flat; its width is equal to 0.87 of pipe diameter; it is located at distance from longitudinal axis equal to 0.68 of pipe diameter.
EFFECT: reduction of vibration.
