FIELD: quantum electronics; continuous-action gas laser units using gas flow as active medium.
SUBSTANCE: proposed flowing gas laser has supersonic nozzle unit and pipes for feeding working medium to supersonic nozzle unit. These pipes are designed and disposed so that pipe length l and distance L from pipe inlet to closest critical section of nozzle and total area of outlet sections of pipes F meet following conditions: l ≥ D; L ≥ 5D; F ≥ 2.8F, where D is pipe caliber; F is total critical-section area of supersonic nozzle unit.
EFFECT: enhanced thermal stability of combustion chamber.
