FIELD: hydro-acoustics, in particular, engineering of multi-element hydro-acoustic antennas, forming direction characteristics of given type.
SUBSTANCE: proposed hydro-acoustic receiving-emitting antenna contains electro-acoustic transformers, positioned in stepped manner one relatively to another, while some adjacent acoustic transformers are shifted higher and lower relatively to plane of zero phase for distance, not exceeding one quarter of wave length in environment, while common bracing plate for holding transformers is made stepped to match the profile of stepped working surface of antenna.
EFFECT: expanded capacity for forming direction characteristics due to excluded use of phase-controlling circuits.
