FIELD: electric mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: ring electric motor-flywheel comprises ring flywheel, electric motor, base, and three electromagnetic bearings. Each electromagnetic bearings is made of two electromagnets, one electromagnet of axial stabilization, and one permanent magnet. The magnetic circuits of the electromagnets embrace the edge of the ring flywheel with a spaced relation to it and special ring projections on its outer surface. The permanent magnet is mounted between the magnetic circuit of the electromagnet of the axial stabilization and armature that interconnects the magnetic conductors of the electromagnets of the radial stabilization.
EFFECT: reduced power consumption.
