FIELD: producing tightly joined conductors for miscellaneous cables including those designed for operation in aggressive media.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method for splicing cable conductors primarily designed for low-current electric circuits includes polyethylene activation at sheath surface area spaced l = (5-7)d from sheath ends to be spliced, where d is rated diameter of cable conductor, and introduction of low-temperature cured rubber of same grade as that of sealing rubber into adhesive.
EFFECT: enhanced strength of joints.
