METHOD FOR PRODUCING ELECTROLYTIC MIXTURE FOR THERMAL SOURCES OF ELECTRICAL ENERGY Russian patent published in 2006 - IPC H01M6/36

Abstract SU 1840266 A1

FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: proposed method used in development and manufacture of thermal sources of electrical energy to produce molten electrolyte for them includes dehydration of components, their mixing, melting, milling, and introduction of thickening agent followed by heat treatment. Dehydration is effected in vacuum at pressure not over 10.1 kPa for 55 - 80 minutes at room temperature, whereupon mixture is heated to 160 - 180 °C for 4 - 5 hours at same pressure. Potassium chloride is dried out in the open at t° = 150 - 180 °C for 3 - 4 hours. Al2O3 is calcined at t° = 450 - 500 °C for 60 - 70 minutes and passed through sieve 016; powdered electrolyte LiCl-KCl is passed through sieve 0355, components are mixed up in ball mill for 50 - 60 minutes, subjected to heat treatment at t = 500 - 530 °C for 60 - 70 minutes, fined in ball mill, subjected to heat treatment again at same temperature, fined, and passed through sieve 016.

EFFECT: augmented process for producing electrolytic mixture for thermal sources of electrical energy.
