FIELD: holography.

SUBSTANCE: method can be used in astronomy for identification of objects of any geometrical shape, which object is watched through turbulent atmosphere. Method of identification of geometrical objects is based on registration of N reference-free hologram of intensity of radiation, reflected from object, and achievement of non-distorted square of module of spatial spectrum from object. Radiation reflected from object is divided to two flows of equal intensities, and registration of N hologram is carried out in first flow. Second flow is divided to two bunches of equal intensities and one bundle is turned relatively the other by 180 degrees. Instant distorted phase of spatial spectrum is found from object, real phase of spatial spectrum is restored due to storage of instant phase of spatial spectrum from object. Restored phase of spatial spectrum is combined with module of spectral spectrum and while making Fourier transform, image which was not distorted by atmosphere is restored, which image is used to judge on geometrical characteristics of object.

EFFECT: improved precision of measurement of geometrical characteristics of objects.
