FIELD: organic chemistry, chemical technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an improved method for synthesis of bis-(chlorooxyimino)-acetone. The chlorination reaction is carried out in simultaneous dosing calcium chloride, concentrated hydrochloric acid and 30% hydrogen peroxide saturated preliminary with calcium chloride to dioxyiminoacetone suspension in saturated solution in the ratio water : calcium chloride = (1.2-1.3):1 (in moles) in the reaction mass, or concentrated hydrochloric acid and 30% hydrogen peroxide with the retained ratio water : calcium chloride = (1.6-1.7):1 (in moles) and in maintaining the molar ratio dioxyiminoacetone : hydrochloric acid : hydrogen peroxide = 1:(2.0-2.1):(2.2-2.5) (in moles), respectively. Method is simple and provides preparing the end product with the high yield - 95.7%.
