FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: cyclic velocity meter for sound propagation in a liquid medium consists of an acoustic delay line with a reflector, an amplifier, a pulse generator and a frequency meter for the pulses. The emitter and receiver used for the acoustic delay line is an electroacoustical transducer, the input of which is connected to the amplifier through a receiver-transmitter commutator, connected to the pulse generator. A frequency divider is connected between the amplifier and the pulse generator, with a division ratio equal to the given number of the run cycles of the acoustic pulse between the electroacoustical transducer and the reflector.

EFFECT: increased accuracy.
