FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: usage: the invention relates to hydrophysical measurements and can be used for oceanography and environmental monitoring tasks, including for determining the salinity of seawater under natural conditions. Essence: the meter consists of an electronic unit and two cylindrical cavities of the same length connected to it, mounted on a common base. The end surfaces of the cavities are equipped with an emitter and a receiver of acoustic pulses located opposite each other. One of the cavities is isolated from the environment and equipped with an elastic membrane separating the environment and the inner cavity, and the other is made with holes connecting the environment with the internal volume of the cavity. The electronic unit includes a microcontroller, an electrical pulse generator, power amplifiers and a power supply unit.
EFFECT: elimination of the occurrence of measurement error associated with changes in the parameters of the sensors used under the influence of variability of environmental conditions.
