FIELD: measuring instruments.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the technical condition diagnosing of gas-lubricated sliding bearings in precision gyroscopes and it may be used in assembly and operation of gyroscopes provided with a gas-suspended rotor. The method consists in rotating a gyroscope rotor under dry friction conditions and measuring a torque curve value of its bearing surfaces in contact and comparing it with a reference value.
EFFECT: providing on-line technical condition monitoring of the bearing surfaces of a gyroscope.
