FIELD: measuring instruments.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the technical condition diagnosing of gas-dynamic bearings in gyroscopes and it may be used in assembly and operation of gas-supported precision gyroscopes. The process of gyroscope rotor diagnosing includes determining a rotor rotation speed at the moment of contact between movable and fixed components of the bearing under rotor rundown conditions and determining a time from the moment of the contact till the full stop of the rotor.
