FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to making alloys of noble metals, particularly, iridium-platinum alloys. Proposed method comprises electrolysis of fused salts. Electric extraction is made from chloride melt bearing ions of platinum and iridium at weight ratio of 0.004-4.000 with iridium anode on dipping metal plate. Platinum area vs weight of iridium ions makes 0.03-100.0 cm2/g.
EFFECT: alloys made up of solid preset-composition layers, simplified process.
