FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to extraction of noble metals from wastes. Proposed method comprises electrolysis of fused salts. Before electrolysis, wastes in contact with graphitised carbon materials are subjected to chlorination in the melt of chlorides arranged in container equipped with filter. Then, melts containing noble metals are filtered out. Electrolysis is performed to reduce noble metals from said melts using the mix retained at said filter as an anode. Note here that at initial stage of electrolysis, melt level is maintained to allow wetting said mix in filter. After electrolysis, said melt is subjected to additional reduction by hydrogen.
EFFECT: extraction of noble metals from wastes with low content of noble metals on nonmetallic carriers.
