FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing bis-trinitroethylethylene dinitramine (substance "H"), used in various explosive compounds. Disclosed method of producing bis-trinitroethylethylene dinitramine is performed by treating a methylol derivative of ethylenediamine with nitroform with subsequent nitration of produced paste of sulphuric-nitric acid mixture. In order to eliminate dangerous operation of vacuum distillation of nitroform, latter is taken in form of nitro mass consisting of HNO3 (49.4 %), HC(NO2)3 (25.3 %), H2C2O4 (1.84 %), N2O4 (0.25 %), Hg(NO3)2 (0.03 %), produced after nitration of acetylene, followed by distillation of part of nitrogen oxides and tetranitromethane and adding a calculated amount of water and nitric acid.

EFFECT: method enables to avoid laborious and dangerous operation of vacuum distillation in production of concentrated nitroform, and reduces consumption of nitric acid and increases output of product.
