FIELD: cartography. SUBSTANCE: device has cartographic indicator of true heading, cartographic indicator of preset heading with tape transport mechanism in which information carrier is made as optically transparent carrier with variable density, and unit of correlation-extremal processing of information. Unit inputs are connected optically to cartographic indicators, and its output is connected electrically to users of information on object coordinates. To enhance interference suppression, device is provided with auxiliary cartographic indicator of preset heading made as the basic one and positioned between true heading indicator and corresponding optical input of information processing unit. Its tape-transport mechanism is synchronized with tape transport mechanism of preset heading basic indicator. Its information carrier shows landmarks identical with those located on carrier of preset heading basic indicator, but their boundaries are extended by value of permissible error of object displacement determination. EFFECT: more reliable determination of object coordinates.
