FIELD: ophthalmology. SUBSTANCE: invention is meant to be used in plastic and reconstructive surgery of iris and consists in utilizing cadaver tissue which is washed out, degreased, kept in a surfactant solution, undergoes alkali hydrolysis, kept once more in a surfactant solution, undergoes acid hydrolysis followed by keeping in surfactant solution, placed into ≥ 6% hydrogen peroxide solution and then into preservative (70% ethanol). Thus treated allogen-tissue transplants do not provoke inflammatory and allergic reactions and reject, make possible formation of specific structure of new tissue, increase life duration of transplants, and reduce cost. EFFECT: eliminated immunoreactivity and prolonged life of transplants.
