FIELD: chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: method involves separation of mixtures containing HF, 2,2-dichloro-1,1,1-trifluoroethane and/or 2-chloro-1,1,1,2-tetrafluoroethane. Method is carried out by temperature and pressure effect on the mixture (at the range from -80 C to -40 C and about 0,1-3,55 MPa, respectively) at separation zone. Lower layer of separation zone is organic phase containing below 15 mol. % HF; in upper part of separation zone acid phase is formed, and it contains at least 94 mol. % HF.
