FIELD: ultrasound engineering. SUBSTANCE: device has source of reference electric oscillations 1, low-pass filter 2, rectifier 3, two blocks for exciting mechanical oscillations 5,5', two blocks for shaping control pulses 4,4', object 6, receiver of acoustical oscillations 7 which is secured to the object, block of automatic controlling of power of mechanical oscillations 8 and source of reference voltage 9. The blocks for exciting mechanical oscillations have thyristor, diode and magnetostriction converter. The first leads of the converter is connected to cathode of the diode. A storing tank is coupled to the first leads of the winding of the converter. Light indicator and separating capacitor is connected parallel to the winding of the converter whose second leads is coupled with anode of the thyristor. The receiver of acoustical oscillations is placed in the middle part of the object case between the blocks for exciting mechanical oscillations. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 6 dwg
