FIELD: production of bobbins. SUBSTANCE: multilayer yarn bobbin is formed by continuous fibrous yarn strands having compact skeins alternating with stretched pieces formed by axial condensing of yarn and dividing common strand into skeins, connected by stretched pieces of continuous threads. Method involves laying compact skeins one adjacent to the other on axial direction to form layers; dividing yarn strands into skeins by gas steams under pressure, which action continuous fibrous yarn strands in programmed way. Air streams used as gas streams are directed on yarn strands at an angle of 45 deg. EFFECT: increased efficiency and enhanced reliability in operation. 2 cl, 3 dwg
