FIELD: biotechnology. SUBSTANCE: on the starch-containing medium bacterial strain, which is able to synthesize both b-amylase and exopolysaccharide (5-17 mg/ml cultural fluid), is used as a producer of b-amylase. Exopolysaccharide shows stabilizing effect with respect to b-amylase. Capability of strain to synthesize exopolysaccharide mentioned above ensures to decrease loss activity of enzyme in process of its isolation from cultural fluid by 10-15% and to increase storage period of preparations by 1,1-1,2-times.
