FIELD: engines. SUBSTANCE: plant has a heat engine connected to a fuel tank, a three-phase generator articulated with the heat engine, traction motors connected to the generator through an alternating-to-direct voltage converter, a power accumulator. The accumulator is made superconducting and inductive, the converter is made reversible. A three-phase cryotronic converter is brought in the circuit between accumulator and generator outputs. The accumulator and cryotronic converter are mounted in a cryostat positioned in a fuel tank, a liquefied gas is used as a fuel. Outputs of the cryotronic converter are connected to an external electric power source through a switch. EFFECT: improved efficiency and reduced operational expenditures. 2 cl, 1 dwg
