FIELD: railway transport. SUBSTANCE: technical effect of method is achieved by preliminary bend of cross fitting to side opposite to buckling formed by blast loading. Method lies in preliminary bend of cross fitting within hardened zone with maximal sagging in section of mathematical center of cross fitting within the limits of 25.0-30.0 mm for single and of 35.0-40.0 mm for double loading on metal table and within the limits of 15.0-20.0 mm and 25.0-30.0 mm correspondingly for hardening on metal shots. Novelty of the method lies in that hardening of cores of cross fittings with blast is carried out after preliminary bend which is set in compliance with technological requirements. In this case there are created conditions for increase of intensity of hardening, prolonged service life and operational reliability of cross fittings. EFFECT: prolonged service life, increased operational reliability of cross fittings.
