CLAY-LIKE MATERIAL GRINDING METHOD Russian patent published in 1994 - IPC

FIELD: reprocessing of clays and like materials in construction industry. SUBSTANCE: method involves grinding clay-like material with simultaneous drying by subjecting it to mechanical actions in hot air flow. Basic material in the form of granules with size of 8-10 mm is supplied to blade grinder, then material particles are conducted to treatment zone by hot air flow temperature of 100-400 C at circular speed of 30-100 m/sec. Height of treatment zone exceeds length of free run of particle after collision with rotating blades by 1.4-1.6 times. Then particles are conducted to drying zone, whose section is equal to treatment zone section. EFFECT: increased efficiency and enhanced reliability in operation. 1 tbl
