FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: device has measuring and indicating units, appliance for retaining measuring unit on surface under investigation and guide for limiting pipeline section under investigation. Measuring unit is made in the form of section of flexible tape with drive for its laying round perimeter of cross-section under investigation and gauge, comprising two rods and slider mounted movably on these rods. One leg of gauge is hinged to flexible tape and other leg is pressed thereto by one of its ends, while second end is secured on slider. Indicating unit includes pointer, pin contacting with limiter mounted on tape and scale secured on slider, all of them being secured on second leg of gauge. Besides, rod of gauge carries additional slider provided with inductive pickup and hinge of gauge leg carries insulating plate with metal insert and current conductor of pickup electrical circuit. Device is provided with additional arrangement with reference marks for fixing measuring unit on surface under check. Flexible tape is provided with strain gauges.
