FIELD: medicine; orthopedics. SUBSTANCE: method of surgical treatment of scoliosis which comprises attaching electrodes epidurally connected to electric instrument, feeding supply voltages, reading instruments and installing distractor, correcting distorted vertebral column and monitoring allowable correction. Novel feature of disclosed method resides in that said electrodes were located on both sides of apex of vertebral column deformation between points of installation of distractor hooks and in vicinity thereof, indications of impedance of spinal cord blood vessel were recorded prior to correction of distorted vertebral column and process of correction was monitored by reducing impedance to critical level. EFFECT: more effective prevention of post-operative neurological complications by monitoring spinal blood circulation.
