FIELD: nonferrous metallurgy, gallium purification. SUBSTANCE: molten gallium is treated with purified gaseous fluorine for 1-2 hours at 200-150 C and pressure varied in the range of 1-760 mm Hg to convert at most 1% of gallium into fluoride followed by two stages of deionized water washing at 30-35 C and 90-95 C, respectively.
