FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to uranium, with respect to operation of production at separation of uranium isotopes, and can be used for cleaning different metal surfaces operating in the medium of uranium hexafluoride from non-volatile uranium deposits. Method of cleaning metal surfaces from uranium deposits involves treatment of surfaces of gaseous fluorinating agents containing ClF3 and F2 in weight ratio (1.7÷3.6):1, under conditions of dynamic process flow, by means of circulation of gases through deposition of uranium and a layer of sodium fluoride, heated to 185-225°C.
EFFECT: invention provides the fluorination process intensification, selective extraction of uranium hexafluoride gas and avoiding formation of corrosion-active and easily condensing reaction products.
