FIELD: mining industry. SUBSTANCE: method provides for supply of a. c. voltage to lighting cable with induction luminaries. A. C. is preliminarily rectified and its working frequency is increased. Current in lighting cable is stabilized and its intensity is decreased in proportion to increase voltage working frequency. Determined also is lighting cable insulation resistance relative to earth, and minimum permissible insulation resistance is preset. If insulation resistance drops below the preset value, the lighting cable is deenergized. Required rectified voltage is determined from given conditions. EFFECT: higher efficiency of lighting due to improvement of its quality, higher explosion-proofness and convenience in servicing. 1 dwg
