FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: one end of the specimen-sample is rigidly fixed, and strain gauge is mounted in the other end of the specimen-witness. Specimen-witness is subjected to hydraulic jet-free treatment. Harmonics of voltages are built according to readings of strain gauge. Difference between average peak values of amplitudes of the first and the second harmonics are determined as well as average value of the first harmonic amplitude in specimen-witness. Specimen stress coefficient is measured in dynamics accounting for results got before. Residual stresses are determined according to calibration dependence of dynamic coefficient on value of voltage.
