FIELD: analysis of materials. SUBSTANCE: method is good for determination of density of samples of solid materials. Density is calculated by values of mass and volume of sample. Sample is fastened to slack membrane with elastic center of standard mass mэт which is imparted by resonance oscillations. Frequency of resonance f1 is found in absence of sample and frequency of resonance f2 is determined in presence of sample fixed on membrane. Mass mx of sample is estimated by formula . Volume of sample is determined by value of change of volume of one of chambers when sample is fixed on membrane and is under resonance oscillatory motion.
