FIELD: chemical industry; production of pipe insulating materials. SUBSTANCE: polyol and polyisocyanate were admixed at equilibrium pressure, minimum, after one of these products was saturated by gas, that is, carbon dioxide, argon, and sulfur hexafluoride at pressure of at least 30 bar. Next, reaction mass was squeezed out via choke opening into foamer communicating with atmosphere and thus obtained foam was either applied to surface or placed in enclosed space. Components were admixed in mixer which at the same time functioned as gassing unit. Thus prepared polyurethane foam had apparent density between 64-80 kg/m3 and offered heat conductivity of 0.03 W/m3 and surface layer ultimate strength of 10.0 MPa. EFFECT: higher strength. 2 cl, 1 tbl, 1 dwg
