FIELD: well operation. SUBSTANCE: hydromechanical cleaner is run into hole on string. With circulating fluid being pumped through string, direct flow attacks plug washing it out. Reverse upward flow rotates cleaning heads loosely positioned on body, which are provided with cutting blades. Cleaning heads are rotating in opposing directions, since blades have opposite inclination angles in relation to longitudinal axis. Cutting blades positively cut off deposits from walls in both running-in and pulling-out of hydromechanical cleaner. Cutting blades have cutting rims at the bottom of lower head and at the top of upper head. Mathematical relationship of height of head versus its diameter and blade inclination angle is given. EFFECT: efficiency of restoring lost circulation in oil-and-gas production well increased. 5 cl, 1 dwg
