FIELD: home appliances. SUBSTANCE: walking stick comprises tube with support handle in its upper part; support heel from flexible-elastic material in its lower part; anti-skid device in the form of pointed rod interacting with fixing mechanism: support handle is mounted on tube with a provision for being reciprocated and fixed in desired position along tube height: rod of anti-skid device is rigidly secured in lower end of tube by means of pin. Walking stick is provided with support-and-fixing mechanism for fixing handle along tube height while fixing mechanism of anti-skid device is made as bushing inserted into support heel and having two opposed longitudinal slots with adjoining lateral shaped slots which interact with ends of anti-skid device fastening pin in lower end of tube. Support-and-fixing mechanism for adjustable positioning and fixing of walking stick handle along tube height is comprised of relatively movable female and male members and a retainer interacting therewith. Female member has the form of a bushing with a row of transverse fixing slots while male member, in the form of hollow rod which accommodates retainer in the form of plate spring with alternating curved sections and rectilinear extension matching with end curved section which puts retainer in interaction with slots of female member through opening in male member.
