FIELD: well boring and maintenance equipment. SUBSTANCE: elevator has body with boss and platform. Body is pivotally connected to hanger by means of fingers. Jaws with a coupling rod are pivotally interconnected and placed inside the body. Locking means is made in form of rotatable handle with spring-loaded lever, placed inside the boss. Upper end of lever is connected to spring-loaded fixing part, which can interact with the platform. Lower end of lever can interact with groove in the boss. Torsion spring is placed in the groove made in the bushing of handle. At one end torsion spring is fixed in the boss with a screw, at other end it is fixed inside the bushing of handle for displacing the handle to a closed position of elevator. Two concentric grooves are made on outer surface of said bushing, into which elastic slide rings are inserted made for example from polyurethane. In each external ear of hanger in the area of hanger and finger conjunction two single- axis apertures are made. In one of said apertures wedge with threaded part is placed. In the middle of the wedge a groove is formed, groove having a bevel edge in contact with groove in the finger. Bushing is screwed onto threaded part of the wedge. Bushing is placed in another single-axial aperture and jammed by means of pin to prevent its longitudinal displacement in the hanger. Wedge is moved into position for jamming the finger by clockwise rotation of bushing by means of face wrench. Wedge is moved into position for dismantling the finger by counter-clockwise rotation of bushing up to the stop. EFFECT: increased safety and durability. 3 cl, 6 dwg
