FIELD: manufacture of products from stones. SUBSTANCE: stone is placed on spring-loaded platform. Pillars are moved with the aid of hydraulic cylinders and splitting blade is lowered on stone. Platform is lowered to rest of stone against edges of splitting wedges. Hydraulic cylinders of individual extension of splitting wedges are switched on. They feed intermediate wedges between support and splitting wedges. Effort is transferred through stone to splitting blade and through pillars to brake wedges. The latter stop mobile parts of pillars ensuring rigidity of system. With further growth of effort on to splitting wedges directed splitting of stone occurs.
