FIELD: devices for detecting explosives. SUBSTANCE: radiation protection made in form of a circular disconnected U-shaped stepped tunnel is disposed inside the device. Objects transporting device, units for detecting gamma radiation, thermal neutron irradiator and neutron reflector are disposed inside the tunnel. Transporting means is made in form of a circular load platform and has rotation drives. Irradiator is made in form of a unit which has surface for radiating neutrons. Tunnel is mounted symmetrically in relation to its vertical diametral plane which passes through the center of radiator unit. Load platform is mounted horizontally onto the supporting rollers. Internal edge surface of the platform interacts with centering rollers. Rotational drives are mounted under the load platform and have driving rollers which interact with its surface.
