FIELD: oil industry. SUBSTANCE: method involves accelerating gas-liquid flow in narrowing part of channel to flow rate approximating to critical value; deflecting flow from initial direction and reducing flow rate to gas phase rate, which is less than rate at the beginning of entraining liquid drops from liquid surface. Device has casing and expeller mounted within casing in spaced relation with respect to casing inner surface for displacement in axial direction. Casing and expeller define channel of narrowing-expanding form. Inner surface of casing and outer surface of expeller are provided with slit shaped openings for intaking liquid.
